Assistant Physiotherapist Of Delhi Capitals Tests Positive Of Covid-19

On Sunday, the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Delhi Capitals (DC) went on to announce that their assistant physiotherapist has tested positive for coronavirus. The franchise said he was going through his mandatory quarantine and had tested negative for his first two tests conducted on arrival in Dubai, but unfortunately, tested positive for the third one.

In a statement regarding the same, Delhi Capitals said, “He was yet to meet with and had not been in contact with any players or staff of the franchise. He was isolated immediately, and is currently at the IPL Isolation Facility in Dubai for the next 14 days, at the end of which he will have to produce two negative reports for him to be able to join the Delhi Capitals squad.”

The franchise’s medical team has been in constant touch with the member and wishes him a speedy recovery, the statement added.

The IPL 2020 will be taking place between September 19 and November 10 in the UAE across three venues –Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.  On Sunday, BCCI revealed the scheduled for IPL 2020, CSK will be locking horns with Mumbai Indians (MI) in the tournament opener on September 19.

The second match will be played in Dubai on September 20 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), followed by the opening clashes of Sunirsisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on September 21.

Earlier last month, CSK suffered a huge blow earlier when 13 members (including 2 players) of their contingent were tested positive of Covid-19, but all of them have now tested positive after undergoing quarantine, but the players have been advised to quarantine for a week more.
