3. Rishabh Pant to Pat Cummins – come on Patty
It happened on day five of the first Test of the series at Adelaide Oval (Adelaide). In that tight game, when the Australian lower-order batsman Pat Cummins was batting patiently on the tough batting pitch. Chasing down a big target of 323 runs, Cummins scored 28 runs off 121 balls (3 fours).
During that innings, the Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was constantly chirping on Cummins from behind the stumps.
Some of those were, “Come on Pat – you’re not putting the bad ball away!”, “Tough to play here,” “Let’s see some sixes, come on Patty”, “Not going for the shots Patty? etc.
Many have felt that it was the very entertaining sledging while the commentators stopped their commentaries for some time to enjoy those funny banters.
