Former India skipper MS Dhoni got a lifeline in the Melbourne was on a personal score of 34 runs when he got an inside-edge which was taken by Carey of the bowling of Peter Siddle during the final ODI at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). But, because no convincing appeal was made from the Australian camp hence the umpire’s did not take it seriously as Dhoni got a reprieve.
Just after the ball passed the bat, Dhoni suggested that he had not got any touch on the bat, which is quite not the cricketer he is. Glenn Maxwell and Peter Siddle appealed but mildly and hence the umpire was not convinced. Later on, in the replay, it was shown that Dhoni nicked it.
Here is the video of the moment:

Dhoni? Sangakkara / Gilchrist would've walked.

Why didn't he walk if he knew he was out?

How did the umpire miss it. It would have hit middle if he’d not hit it. I don’t expect Dhoni to walk, have never understood the adoration for him as a sportsman.
