Delhi Capitals (DC) fast bowler, Avesh Khan has been exceptional in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, to say the least. He has impressed one and all with his pace and is also boasting of excellent variations in his bowling. Avesh continued his good job with the ball against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Saturday returning with the magical figures of 3/15 in his four overs.

Avesh Khan bowled a brilliant yorker

Avesh Khan managed to take crucial wickets of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Nathan Coulter-Nile and bowled superbly to restrict MI to a below-par total. Among the three wickets he scalped, the yorker that he bowled to Hardik was just phenomenal. It was the 19th over of the innings and the MI all-rounder had the momentum on his team having scored a couple of boundaries in the previous over.

No wonder Hardik was in the mood to smack the ball out of the boundary. Avesh Khan delivered a fiery delivery on the first ball even as the batsman shuffled to cover for a possible wide yorker. But much to Hardik’s surprise, Avesh went for a fiery yorker into his legs. The line was so perfect from the bowler that Hardik couldn’t do much apart from looking at his leg-stump which was pegged back.

Here’s the video:

It was a huge wicket at the time for the Capitals as Hardik Pandya has the ability to take the team over the line from the opposition in the death overs. Avesh Khan continued to have a great day as he also dismissed Nathan Coulter-Nile in the same over to pick a three-fer in the innings.

Apart from Avesh Khan, it was teh southpaw all-rounder, Axar Patel who tied down the Mumbai batsmen in the middle overs. The left-arm spinner scalped wickets of Quinton de Kock, Suryakumar Yadav, and Saurabh Tiwary which left MI in some serious trouble after the powerplay. Despite having power-hitters like Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya, the five-time champions failed to reach a decent total as they only managed to reach a total of 129.
