Pakistani batting sensation Babar Azam scored a superb century during the T10 Shahid Afridi charity match at Faisalabad. Azam reached the magical three figures in just 26 balls in a knock studded with 11 huge sixes and 7 fours, his knock also included a couple of dot balls, surprisingly.

The match was played between SA Greens and Reds with the venue being Iqbal Stadium at Faisalabad. The tournament included Shahid Afridi, Babar Azam and a host of few other international cricketers from Pakistan as well. Shahid Afridi without any surprise was the crowd favourite, however, it was Azam who entertained the crowd this day with his majestic knock.

For people who are wondering what the tourney is Shahid Afridi Foundation is a nonprofit enterprise that had its roots in the year 2014 and it was aimed at providing Education, health care and sports facilities in Pakistan. Shahid Afridi was drafted as the face of the initiative so as to help the people of his country.

Now coming back to Babar Azam, this Pakistani batsman had already attained newer heights in the beautiful game we call cricket, since the day he made his Pakistani debut, however, the latest feat he performed would be very close to his heart since this was in an effort to help the people of his country. Azam’s knock came at a mind-boggling strike rate of 384.62. Recent knock by Cricketers like him and Rohit Sharma are challenging the notions that this form of the game can only be played by batsmen like Chris Gayle, Ab De Villiers who are not orthodox.
