Team India will be locking horns with Bangladesh in the opening game of the two-match Test series to be played in Chattogram between December 14 and 18. The second match is scheduled to be played in Dhaka between December 22 and 26. India will head into the first Test after losing the ODI series and has a point to prove. The series is a part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship.
India and Bangladesh last faced each other in a bilateral series in 2019. During the series, India and Bangladesh played three T20Is and a couple of Tests. India won the T20I series 2-1 and the Test series 2-0.

Both teams have played against each other in 11 Tests, 38 ODIs, and 11 T20Is. The Tigers have never beaten India in a Test match. In ODIs, India has won 31 games while their neighbors have won seven matches. Bangladesh registered their second consecutive ODI series victory against India on home soil by beating India 2-1. They defeated the Men in Blue by a margin of 2-1 in 2015.
