The tension has risen in Barabati’s International cricket stadium, Cuttack ahead of first India vs Sri Lanka T20 International match on December 20. The match may witness a very few number of the crowd after a big mistake by Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Saturday.

The board declared that tickets will be available from the stadium window on Friday and Saturday but they made this announcement very soon, which made fans very furious over authorities.

As soon as they got to know it, crazy cricket fans started throwing stones at the closed windows and broke some barricades. However, Police reached the venue and took the situation under control. A fan named Deepak Samal was trying to buy a ticket and describe the whole drama while quoting to New Indian Express. “The OCA authorities had decided to sell tickets on December 16 and 17. Then how and why they changed the decision and sold all tickets on the first day itself?” he said.

“After failing to get the ticket from the counter, I bought one paying `2000 from black market while its actual rate is ‘600’.”

However, keeping the situation in mind, the Police have increased the number of force around the venue ahead of the T20I match in Cuttack.
