BCCI also added a fitting caption to the post as they wrote: “The moment we’ve all been waiting for! Join us for the big reveal on 13th October only on @mpl_sport. Are you excited?” The Tweet received a lot of reactions wherein the fans commented that they are hoping that the original light blue color jersey make a comeback for the marquee event. MPL sports will sponsor team India’s jersey for the high-profile ICC tournament.

The Indian team had shifted to the dark blue retro jersey during the white-ball series against Australia in 2020. The men in blue will be commencing their T20 World Cup campaign with a couple of warm-up matches against England and Australia on 18 and 20. The team will then lock horns with arch-rivals Pakistan for their opening game of the tournament.
