BCCI Gives Updates On The Extent Of Rishabh Pant’s Injuries

The BCCI has come up with an official statement on the extent of injuries suffered by the Indian wicketkeeper Risabh Pant, who met with a car accident on Friday morning. Pant’s car collided with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the early hours of 30th December. The car caught fire after colliding with the divider, but the southpaw somehow managed to come out of the car by shattering the window.

The BCCI has revealed the Indian wicketkeeper had two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, and toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. They also informed that Pant’s condition remains stable and has now been shifted to Max Hospital in Dehradun, where he will be undergoing MRI scans to ascertain the extent of his injuries and formulate the course of treatment they would have to take for his recovery.

In the official statement, BCCI wrote: “India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant met with a car accident early on Friday morning near Roorkee, Uttarakhand. He was admitted to Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre where he was treated for impact injuries. Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back.”

BCCI further stated, “Rishabh’s condition remains stable, and he has now been shifted to Max Hospital, Dehradun, where he will undergo MRI scans to ascertain the extent of his injuries and formulate his further course of treatment.”

On BCCI’s website, the BCCI wrote: “The BCCI is in constant touch with Rishabh’s family while the Medical Team is in close contact with the doctors currently treating Rishabh. The Board will see to it that Rishabh receives the best possible medical care and gets all the support he needs to come out of this traumatic phase.”

BCCI secretary Jay Shah had earlier said that they will provide Pant with full support during his recovery from the accident.
