The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given a verbal caution to the national team players following Virat Kohli’s disclosure of his Yo-Yo test score on social media. The BCCI considers this information confidential and advised the players not to share such details on social platforms.
As India gears up for the crucial Asia Cup 2023, preparations are in full swing with a five-day skill-enhancement camp taking place in Alur, Karnataka. Prior to the camp, players underwent the Yo-Yo test to assess their fitness levels for the upcoming ACC event. However, Virat Kohli shared an Instagram story revealing his test score, a move that did not sit well with the BCCI.

Kohli captioned the story, “The happiness of finishing the Yo-Yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done.” In response to such actions, the BCCI issued a verbal warning, reminding players to refrain from sharing confidential information as it constitutes a breach of contract.
According to an Indian Express report, a BCCI official stated, “Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training but posting a score leads to breach of contract clause.”
