BCCI President Roger Binny praised Virat Kohli and said that his match-winning knock against Pakistan last Sunday was like a dream for him as well. However, India and Pakistan took on each other at the iconic Melbourne cricket ground and the fans of both teams were present there. and, after a shaky start to their innings, Pakistan were able to put up 159 runs on the board thanks to the fifties from Iftikhar Ahmed and Shan Masood.
In response, the Indian team were in all sorts of trouble before Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya built the ship. The star batter was in great touch and hit some brilliant shots all around the park to push the equation to 16 runs off the last over as well. Kohli then guided the team home with an unbeaten 82, which earned him a lot of praise from all corners. However, the newly-elected BCCI President Binny, said, as quoted by NDTV, that the innings were like a dream for him and it was a fantastic win for India as well.

“It was like a dream for me. Couldn’t realise the way the ball was being hit in the park by Kohli. It was a fantastic victory. You never see such matches where most of the time the match was in Pakistan’s favour and all of a sudden it came back to India. Good for the game as it’s what the crowd wants to see,” said Roger Binny.
“Kohli didn’t have to prove himself. He is a class player and players like him thrive in pressure situations, pressure brings out the best of them,” concluded Roger Binny.

However, Virat Kohli continued his stunning start to the T20 World Cup with another half-century in India’s second game against the Netherlands on Thursday as well.
