The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli received immense praise for his gesture towards the Indian pacers which was revealed by former England skipper Michael Vaughan. In his tweet, Vaughan revealed that the power couple of Virat and his wife Anushka Sharma gave up their business class seats for the fast bowlers for the trip from Adelaide to Perth in order to give the bowlers the much-needed rest.

On Monday, India registered a much-awaited win over Australia by 31 runs to take the lead in the four-match series. The second Test will get underway on December 14 in Perth. And with just a few days gap between the two games, Kohli made sure that his bowlers get a sufficient amount of rest. Consequently, he and his wife sacrificed the comfort of business class seats for the hard-working pacers.

But while the fans and the cricketing fraternity have been praising the Indian skipper for his gesture, England all-rounder Ben Stokes seems to have been confused by it. And unable to deal with it, he took to Twitter to reveal that England head coach Trevor Bayliss had done the same during the 2016 tour of India without revealing details of the incident. He tweeted, “Trevor Bayliss did that for once..,” and tagged Ben Duckett.

Not surprisingly, Stokes’ tweet did not go down well the Kohli’s fans as they gave him a piece of their mind. But before the fans could target him more, the allrounder clarified his words, insisting that he respects Kohli’s gesture and just wanted to state that Bayliss did it before the India skipper.

Ben tweeted, “Bit of confusion with my last tweet I think, being a bowler I have great respect for Virat doing what he did, I was simply saying our head coach did it for one of our players when we toured India in 2016.”

Meanwhile, Stokes recently got some sigh of relief after the Cricket Discipline Commission did not impose further suspension on him for his involvement in the brawl outside a Bristol bar last September. He was handed a backdated 8-match ban which he has already served while Hales has been slapped with a 6-match ban.
