Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar showcased his class once again, delivering a crucial spell against Delhi Capitals in their IPL 2025 clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The seasoned pacer produced a calm and clinical performance, helping RCB seize control at key moments of the game.

Opening the bowling with the new ball, Bhuvneshwar Kumar maintained tight lines during the powerplay, keeping Delhi Capitals’ aggressive batters in check. However, it was in the death overs where his brilliance truly shone through. In the 17th over, with Delhi pushing for a late surge, Bhuvneshwar delivered a double blow that rattled their innings.

First, he sent back KL Rahul, setting the tone for the over. Just a few balls later, he outfoxed Ashutosh Sharma with a masterful slower delivery. Rolling his fingers across the ball, Bhuvneshwar pitched it on a perfect length around middle. Ashutosh, attempting an ambitious swipe across the line, misjudged the pace completely. The ball nipped in slightly after pitching, sneaking through the gap and clipping the top of middle and leg stump.

Ashutosh’s dismissal was a classic example of Bhuvneshwar’s deceptive variations and sharp cricketing brain. By breaking the momentum in the death overs, Bhuvi not only dented Delhi’s hopes of a late flourish but also reinforced his value to the RCB setup.

His controlled bowling performance further tilted the game in Bengaluru’s favour, proving once again why he remains such a dependable force even deep into his IPL career.
