Bhuvneshwar Kumar reveals Workout Struggles amid Lockdown

With no cricket going on, all the cricketers have a lot of free time on their hands right now. Many cricketers have also been proactive on their social media in the past few weeks due to the lockdown. Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar joined hands with Jhulan Goswami featured for a YouTube chat show hosted by fellow Indian cricketers Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues.

During the interaction, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jhulan Goswami spoke on various topics with the hosts.  Bhuvneshwar Kumar spoke about his fitness routine amid the lockdown.

Bhuvi said,” It has been difficult to work out at home as we are used to training at gyms or cricket grounds. But I am trying to make sure that I maintain some level of fitness so that I don’t have to start from zero when I return to the field”.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar made his debut for the Indian team back in 2012 in an ODI game against Pakistan in Chennai.  Since then, the right-arm fast bowler has played 114 ODIs for the country and has scalped 132 wickets with an economy rate of 5.02. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has also played 21 Test matches and 43 T20Is for the country.

If not for coronavirus pandemic, Bhuvneshwar Kumar would be busy representing Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL right now. The right-arm fast medium-pacer has been an integral part of the SunRisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. The Meerut born pacer has 133 wickets to his name from 117 matches.

Scheduled to commence on March 29, the 13th edition of IPL was postponed until April 15. Later on, the Board of Control for Cricket in India suspended the tournament indefinitely.   Originated in China, the virus has now affected more than 106,886 people in India. It is also responsible for taking away 3,303 lives.
