Big Ant Studios, the developer of the well-known cricket game Don Bradman Cricket, has announced the launch date of its cricket console ‘Big Bash Boom’, named after the well-known Australian Twenty20 cricket tournament, Big Bash League (BBL). Since the console carries the official name, Big Ant Studios has got the license for using the names of all teams and players of the BBL and Women’s BBL. The exciting flavor of the cricket in the latest console will feature flaming trails when the batsmen hit sixes, dancing ducks, ball power-ups and many more. The date of the launch of the much-awaited console is November 29, the BBL tweeted on Tuesday.

Talking about the game, as per the reports in Gadgets 360, Big Ant Studios CEO Ross Symons said, “Our previous cricket games, such as last year’s Ashes Cricket, have been known for being authentic, simulation style takes on the sport. We wanted to do something different with Big Bash Boom. Just as the BBL itself has grown to become Australia’s favorite family summer event, this is a game the whole family can jump into and have a great time with.”

Kim McConnie, head of Big Bash for CA, praised the gaming studio saying it “really understands” cricket and the factor in it that leads to such a strong following among the people. He said with the Big Bash becoming Australia’s biggest cricket competition, they wanted to create a game that could excite fans of all age groups.

The console will be released on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and just ahead of the beginning of the new season. While the BBL starts on December 18, the women’s edition will begin earlier on December 1.

The latest is the third Big Bash-licensed title from Big Ant Studios (after Big Bash Cricket 2016 and 2017’s Big Bash Cricket), both of which were made for mobile platforms.
