The Sri Lankan fast bowler, Binura Fernando completed a stunning catch after putting in a high jump at slips dismiss the Indian batter, Sanju Samson in the 13th overs of the innings of the ongoing 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka at the HPCA stadium in Dharamsala. The incident took place on the final ball of the 13th over when Sanju Samson was looking to go after Lahiru Kumar after hitting the three sixes and a boundary on the first five balls of the over as he ended up chasing a wide delivery.
Samson was looking to deposit right-arm pacer, Ravindra Jadeja over the long-off boundary but he only managed to mistime the shot as the ball to the outside edge and the ball went high in the air over the slip. The catch was not easy as Binura Fernando was standing right at the second slip position and had to jump pretty high to complete the one-handed catch.

The ball was swirling in the air and Binura Fernando put in high jumps to make sure he held onto the catch. Fernando’s catch was pretty similar to that of Suresh Raina, from the 2016 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Earlier in the game, Sri Lanka gave India a target of 184 runs and the hosts are well on the course of chasing the score pretty comfortably.
