There’s much more to Chris Lynn than his hard-hitting skills. He has also been known for his acrobatic skills on the field as he has taken some of the most incredible catches. The most memorable one will be the one to dismiss AB de Villiers that he grabbed for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2014.

Apart from this, there are very few batsmen in the world who can smash a ball as hard as Christopher does, he is even one of the batting mainstays in Australian cricket. Whenever he opened the innings for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he has given them a smashing start, even he holds a record along with Sunil Narine for scoring maximum runs in powerplay (104), which came in the last edition of IPL.

Considering the inexperience of KKR squad he needs to perform well for the team in IPL 2018. However, they had a brilliant start to the tournament when they defeated the hot favorites of this season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their curtain-raiser On Sunday.

Chris started to make his mark in the Australian cricket, but injuries in regular interval barred him to make justice to his enormous talent and came off Ben Hilfenhaus at the humongous MCG, which gave everyone an idea that he is one of the cleanest hitter of the cricket ball. He was named Player of the Tournament, having amassed 378 runs at 54 and a strike rate of 173.4. He remains a popular player in franchise-based T20 leagues, especially for Brisbane Heat and KKR.

Lynn made his international debut for Australia in January 2014, during a T20I match against England. He impressed one and all with an innings of 19-ball 33*. His next innings came more than two years later, against the touring Indian team. His impressive strike rates in limited-overs cricket, sharp fielding skills and an imposing First-Class average of more than 40 make him a strong candidate for Australia across formats and even in IPL.

KKR will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chepauk in Chennai. Both the teams have registered wins in their opening games and will like to carry forward the momentum. But, the occasion will become more special for Lynn if he manages to take his team over the line against the team like CSK on his birthday
