Rohit Sharma, the Indian opening batsman, and the Indian Premier League Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper is celebrating his 32nd birthday on Monday. He is considered to be one of the batting stalwarts of the current era in limited-overs and also has the merit of scoring two Test centuries in his first two innings.

The Indian opener who is also known as ‘Hitman’ holds the record of the highest individual ODI score — 264 which he scored against Sri Lanka in 2014. He is the only cricketer to have scored three double centuries in One-Day International (ODI) cricket which he achieved against Australia and Sri Lanka (twice).

Rohit is also one of the few batsmen to score two centuries in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and also the only Indian batsman to do so. He is used to taking additional responsibility on the field, having captained MI in the IPL to three titles.

These days Rohit Sharma is busy in the 11th season of IPL as MI captain, however, his team just has won 2 matches till now from their 7 matches. If we see the records and figures then, in the season 2015 also the Mumbai based franchise won its 2 matches in starting 7 seven matches but after that their performance turned brilliant and they ended it by winning the trophy.

In his career from 2013, November and December month have turned successful for him as he made all three 200s in these months.

  • 209 runs vs Australia (Bangalore), 2 November 2013
  • 264 runs vs Sri Lanka (Kolkata), 13 November 2014
  • 208* runs vs Sri Lanka (Mohali), 13 December 2017

Sadly, in the longest format, Ro-hitman Sharma has been found wanting against the quality attack, especially with the balls that move in late. We at CricShots wish Rohit Sharma on the auspicious occasion of his 32nd birthday.
