On this day in 2016, Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers batted like possessed and massacred the bowling line-up that stood against them. Batting first at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore, both the legends notched up their centuries and posted a 200-runs partnership. Gujarat lions were reduced to rabbits and were later hunted by RCB bowlers.
After Chris Gayle’s early departure, RCB were just 19/1 after four overs. It was from here that the duo assembled and blasted the Gujarati bowling. RCB ended the innings with 248/3. AB De Villiers scored 129 runs from just 52 balls with 10 fours and 12 sixes. Virat Kohli has a magical season scored 109 runs from 55 balls with 5 fours and 8 sixes.
