Blunder of a communication!

The woes of Royal Challengers Bangalore just not seem to end. After being bundling out in the last two matches, their prospects of winning this one looks very bleak.

Of all their batsmen dismissed today, Kedar Jadhav’s mode of dismissal was the most unfortunate one. Jadhav came into bat at No. 3 after the fall of AB de Villiers. Lockie Ferguson was bowling the eight over when Jadhav took the long walk back to the pavilion.

On the fourth delivery, Jadhav cut a Ferguson deivery to point where Ajinkya Rahane was fielding. After an initial fumble, Rahane threw the ball to the non-striker’s end citing a miscommunication between the batsmen. After Ferguson missed the ball, Jadhav perhaps thought that he would sneak a run off the overthrow.

This was the ‘Yes, No, Yes, No’ moment which resulted in both the batsmen being stranded at the bowling end. MS Dhoni had taken off the bails by then and it was all over for Jadhav.
