4. Jaydev Unadkat

Most of the Indian cricket fans aren’t aware of the fact that Jaydev Unadkat made his International debut for India debut in 2010 on the tour of South Africa. He played a single Test and couple of ODIs in 2013 against Zimbabwe and West Indies. However, due to lack of pace and talent proved to be damaging in his case. However, in this IPL 2017, Unadkat looked a completely different bowler as his pace was also increased to something around 138 kmph speed bracket. He has also added some variations in his kitty like the slower ball and the knuckle-ball.

In IPL 10, Unadkat took a hat-trick and 5 wicket haul in the same match. His overall performance in IPL 10 has made selectors look in his direction once again.

5. Basil Thampi

Basil Thampi won the award for the most emerging player of the year in IPL 10 and proved that IPL is the place to discover some splendid local talent. Thampi put himself in the auction after some profound performance in the Kerala Premier League and the domestic T20 tournament and as a result of that, he was picked up by GL.

After the tried and tested bowlers failed for GL, Thampi made the opportunity count and became the strike bowler of the team and thrived in the role. He has speed and ability to bowl accurate yorkers and that makes him an exciting prospect for India.
