Team India are ready to take on New Zealand in the inaugural World Test Championship final in Southampton from June 18. Before that, all the players were seen practising hard, including the batting mainstay, Cheteshwar Pujara. However, he has been going through a poor form and also come under the scanner as many shared their views as he bats “too slowly”. Recently, Brad Hogg gave an interesting answer to this.

During the Australian Test series Down Under recently, Pujara had scored 271 runs in four innings which came at a strike rate of 29.20. During a Question and Answer session recently on Twitter, a fan asked Brad Hogg “is Pujara too slow in Tests?” To which, the left-arm spinner tweeted: “Not with the batters around him. You need someone like that to bat time. I actually enjoy watching him bat, appreciating his patience and determination.”

Meanwhile, another fan asked about the World Test Championship (WTC) final between Virat Kohli led Team India and Kane Williamson led New Zealand. While Brad Hogg was asked about his prediction for the winner of the summit clash, which is all set to begin on June 18 in Southampton, and the 50-year-old veteran leg spinner has said that the Kiwis might have an upperhand because they have been taking on England in a two-match Test series. While the first Test ended in a draw, the second one has started on Thursday at Edgbaston as well.
