The legendary Windies cricketer, Brian Lara reckons that the Indian team will be having an edge over Australia during their visit Down Under for a series across formats; however, he also believes Australia will also show a bit of resistance.
Virat Kohli and his men will commence the grueling tour against Australia on November 21 which comprises three T20Is, four Tests, and three ODIs. It will be a massive opportunity for the visitors to re-write the history in the absence of mainstays like Steven Smith and David Warner. India had a poor outing in South Africa and England earlier this year and will be keen to overturn their records in the upcoming tour.
Lara, who retired from international cricket a decade ago, reiterate that he never misses anything about the cricket field. Currently, he is socializing with people on the golf course, spending most of his time playing this new sport.

As per the reports in Times of India, Brian said, “I don’t miss playing cricket at all. I played for 17 years and retired at a time when I wanted to. I have never missed a day of cricket since then.”
Although the Caribbean legend has stopped playing the game, he is well aware of the current happening in the game. Thus, Lara believes India will have an upper hand in their tour to the Down Under if they work their things out. However, Lara seemed concerned with the poor overseas record that India possesses.
The batting legend said, “I think it is going to be an interesting series. Obviously, Australia is going to fight a bit as India is playing very good cricket. But their ‘away’ record is something they have to worry about. If they break the game down into different pieces and understand where they are strong and need to be strong, they can work things out.”
