In what was a surprising Test debut in the first Test of the series against South Africa at Cape Town, Jasprit Bumrah managed to clinch the all-important wicket of AB de Villiers. Dismissing a batsman as good as de Villiers as the first Test wicket would definitely given a lot of joy to the 24-year old pacer.
South African captain, Faf du Plessis, had earlier won the toss and chose to bat. Reeling at 3-12, de Villiers and du Plessis added 114 runs for the fourth wicket.
On the last delivery of the 33rd over, de Villiers inside edged a Bumrah 140-km delivery as it went on to hit his stumps. de Villiers scored an impressive 65 (84) with the help of 11 fours.
