Jasprit Bumrah, India’s go-to man in the slog overs, put forward another facet of his abilities as he got hold of a blinder at third-man to dismiss Farhaan Behardien in the ongoing sixth ODI against South Africa at Centurion.
On the second delivery of the 32nd over, Behardien played an upper cut off Shardul Thakur. Less did he know that Bumrah would put in a sensational effort to send him back to the pavilion. Considered as an average fielder usually, Bumrah surprised many with his acrobatic catch.
In the five balls that he faced, Behardien scored a solitary run. He became the fifth South African wicket to fall, losing out on a chance to score big in a situation where his team needed him the most.
It was Thakur’s third wicket of the match. Playing this match in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he has impressed one and all with performance.
