Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has decided to refund the money for tickets bought by fans of the Indian team for the last two days after the Pink ball Test ended inside three days as India crushed Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs to sweep the series 2-0.
This is one of the rare occasions when a cricket association is refunding money for the tickets bought by fans as the match was finished two days early. The practice is usually followed by state boards across the world when matches get called off or abandoned due to rain or any other circumstance.

The first-ever Day-night Test in India witnessed packed stands on all three days of and even the fourth-day tickets were sold out, but sadly the match lasted only till the first hour of Day 3 as India outclassed Bangladesh in all three departments. Notably, this was the shortest Test ever (in terms of the number of balls bowled) to be played in India, beating Afghanistan’s maiden Test vs the hosts in 2018 that lasted 1028 balls.
Even though the Afghanistan Test had ended within 2 days, a number of stoppages resulting from players getting injured in the Kolkata game meant that the match went on for longer despite a lesser number of overs (161.2 vs BAN and 171.2 vs AFG) being bowled.
