In a stirring show of patriotism, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) paid a heartfelt tribute to India’s armed forces by unveiling a massive banner on the Eden Gardens clubhouse. The banner saluted the bravery and selfless service of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, with a powerful message: “Justice is Served! Jai Hind!” — a declaration of national pride and solidarity.

Recognising the crucial role played by the military in maintaining peace and security, CAB President Snehasish Ganguly expressed his deep admiration. “We are extremely proud of our armed forces. It is because of their courage and protection that we live in peace,” Ganguly stated.
Eden Gardens, one of the most iconic cricket venues in the world, was scheduled to host two high-profile matches this IPL season — Qualifier 2 and the final. However, due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, the BCCI suspended the tournament for a week on May 9.
