The Australian cricket team needs to work very hard to save the ongoing four-match Test series against India as the visitors are leading the series by 1-0. While the hosts have been sweating it out in the training sessions, they got to meet with a familiar person, as Cameron Bancroft paid them a visit, who is on the brink of completing his nine-month suspension.

Cameron was prohibited from playing domestic and international cricket for his involvement in the ball-tampering controversy, will play for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League 2018-19. He will miss the initial games since his ban is set to expire on December 29th. However, it could be long before Bancroft is selected to make an international comeback

Bancroft was seen at the new Perth Stadium, having a chat with the Australian captain Tim Paine. Marcus Harris, who used to play alongside banned cricketer before moving to Victoria, said that he was delighted to see Bancroft playing in the Test side. The opener, who registered a pair of 26 in his first Test also understands that there are players lining up to take his place in the team if he doesn’t deliver the goods.

Harris also expressed that he has been in constant touch with the disgraced batsman and is really in pretty good terms with him. In spite of being poles opposite in personalities, they share a great bond and the southpaw is hoping for Bancroft to bounce back once his ban ends.

As per the reports of the Sydney Herald, Harris said, “If I make runs that’ll probably look after itself, and if I don’t it’ll probably come down to a bit of competition with other blokes. We are sort of opposites in personality. A yin and yang thing. Bangers is the most intense man in the world and I was a bit more chilled out, but it worked really well. I was really happy for him last year when he was playing in the Test side, I thought he started doing really well.”

Sharing his camaraderies with Bancroft, Marcus said that they chat regularly and they’re really good mates. He said once Bancroft seems to be in good spirits so he really hopes that the latter makes a good comeback.
