In a light-hearted moment during the ongoing clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Cameron Green and Virat Kohli shared a humorous exchange that left fans amused. During the drinks break, Green, in a gesture of recognition, presented Kohli with the Orange Cap for becoming the leading run-scorer in IPL 2024.

Virat Kohli’s stellar batting performances had propelled him to the top of the charts, with consecutive half-centuries contributing significantly to RCB’s competitive total of 182 for 6 in 20 overs.

Kohli’s IPL 2024 journey commenced with a modest 21-run knock against Chennai Super Kings, followed by an impressive 77 off 49 balls against Punjab Kings. In the match against KKR, Kohli remained unbeaten on 83 runs off 59 balls, embellished with four fours and an equal number of sixes.

During a post-innings interview with commentators, Cameron Green was tasked with presenting the Orange Cap to Kohli. However, in a humorous twist, Green handed Kohli not just the cap but also the microphone, eliciting laughter from Ian Bishop, the commentator. Bishop jokingly asked Kohli to return the microphone to Green, adding to the lighthearted moment.

  

Reflecting on RCB’s performance, Cameron Green expressed satisfaction with their total and shared his appreciation for batting at number three. “Pretty happy with it (total),” said Green. “I love playing there (number three). You’ve got a bit more freedom in the last couple of overs in the powerplay. It’s always nice to bat with Virat, he looked beautiful again today,” he added.

Meanwhile, KKR made an explosive start to their innings, courtesy of Sunil Narine’s blistering knock of 47 runs off just 22 balls. At the time of writing, KKR were positioned at 92 for 1 in the eighth over, setting the stage for an enthralling contest.
