An Australian newspaper has slammed Indian captain Rohit Sharma, days after targeting the veteran Virat Kohli. The Boxing Day Test match at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) has seen some huge twists and turns as well.
After India gave away a first-innings lead of 105 runs on Day 4, their bowlers did well to keep them in the match by taking wickets at regular intervals. Jasprit Bumrah, who has been in great form in the series, took four wickets before the Tea break to put Australia in a spot of bother at 91/6. However, Team India could have done more damage to them if Yashasvi Jaiswal had not dropped three catches as well.
During all the action on Sunday, Rohit Shar was seen losing his temper a few times as his fielders and bowlers were not able to do well as well. The newspaper called the veteran ‘Captain Cry Baby’ on their back page. However, they had earlier named Kohli as “Clown Kohli” after he shoulder-bumped Sam Konstas on Day 1 as well.

Talking about the match, India reduced to Australia off 91/6. However, a partnership of 57 runs between Marnus Labuschagne and Pat Cummins helped them to increase their lead beyond the 250-run mark. Labuschagne, Mitchell Starc, and Cummins departed in quick succession helped then reduced to 173/9. However, the last-wicket partnership between Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland troubled the Asian giants as they added 55 runs off 110 deliveries as well.
