In what has been not the best of Indian Premier League season in terms of fielding, Royal Challenegers Bangalore’s captain, Virat Kohli, took a sharp catch at covers to dismiss Rahul Tripathi. Rising Pune Supergiant got off to a flying start as they collected 55 runs in the powerplay without losing any wicket.

Unfortunately for them, they lost Ajinkya Rahane in the eight over and Tripathi in the following over. Tripathi was very positive in his all-attacking ploy against the bowlers. On the second delivery of the ninth over, he drove a Pawan Negi delivery hard and fast through covers. To his surprise, Kohli had come in between the boundary and the batsman. Kohli jumped to his left in a flash and held the catch in his left hand. The smile on Tripathi’s face said more than words can explain.

A captain on a cricket field generally leads from the front. Kohli is no different. But this was more of a case where the captain fields from the front!
