Former West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite recently shared his experience of playing a video game with Virat Kohli during an IPL season as well. He also recalled that the two played FIFA together, and Virat Kohli got very competitive when he was about to lose as well. Brathwaite shared that Kohli’s drive and passion are not limited to cricket but for other things as well.

He said on the YouTube channel The Super Over: “I remember going to (Tabraiz) Shamsi’s room, and he (Virat) was there playing FIFA. So, I was playing against him in FIFA, and I beat him, and you know that meme where the guy like sits forward, Kohli sits forward and starting to get real into it. It lireally is just FIFA, but I guess when you are as competitive as he is, it’s hard to tune out. You want to win every game.”

Meanwhile, former India player Yuvraj Singh said that India would need the experience of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for the 2027 ODI World Cup as well.

Yuvraj told Star Sports (via NDTV): “It’s up to the management who they want to stick with. Ideally, you need experience in the team. You can’t just go with young guys, or you just can’t go with only experience in the team. You have to match it. And I believe that if they have to play the World Cup, they have to be secured now. The media is always going to bring up the moment they don’t perform, age and form, and all this is going to come. Whatever noise is outside, let it be outside.”
