Supporters of the Indian cricket team have been spread all over the world, wherever the team goes they come to cheer their team. It was no exception in Centurion, where India is playing the second Test match against South Africa and a group called Punjabi Union Club reached at the SuperSport Park to support their mother nation.

They were very vocal for their team and were constantly chanting ‘India! India!’ while several Dhols were buzzing the backdrop which turned this ground into the Punjabi flavor.

According to CricketNext, a group of 40-45 people, came from Johannesburg, was cheering India their lungs out.

Chairman of the club Parminder Singh quoted “We are a group of about 40-45 people, including the kids, and we have come here to support the Indian players. We belong to the Punjab United Club and we are based in Johannesburg. This is our first visit to the SuperSport Park, but we are always present at the Wanderers in Jo’burg. The kids also wanted to watch their favorite player (Kohli) so we are all here and looking to enjoy ourselves.”

The atmosphere of the ground was very enjoyable and Parminder described it while saying “We are loving every bit of this. While we are going to be definitely there at the Wanderers for the third Test as well, we will come back for the second ODI, sixth ODI and the second T20I. Not to forget the fourth ODI and the first T20I in Johannesburg. We love our cricket and nothing better than watching our Indian stars in action.”

India is fighting hard to win the Test match here but South Africa keep pulling this back in their favor. However, the match currently stands on an even keel and can go anywhere from here on.
