Chahal Dances With His Father, Twitterati Went Berserk

The ever increasing outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic has put the whole world to halt, especially the sporting events. The Indian government has imposed a nationwide lockdown for the next three weeks and most cricketers are spending quality time with their family members. But the Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is utilising his self-isolation time by making funny TikTok videos for his fans.

On Thursday, Chahal tweeted a video which also featured his father. In the 15-second-long video, the father-son duo can be seen performing a basic dance move on a funny dialogue, running in the background. Captioning the video of the same, the leggie wrote: “Chahal “My first TikTok video with dad Dad & Son #Quarantine #staysafe”. Within no time, his followers flooded the post with hilarious memes.

In last couple of months, Chahal has been quite active on the popular social media site. In the past too, he had uploaded such videos on TikTok which became instant hits among his followers. Last week his Tiktok video with a girl pulling his cheeks went viral online.

Chahal last played his last international outings for India in the T20I and ODI series in New Zealand. While India won the T20I series 5-0, becoming the first team in the world to complete a 5-0 whitewash, they lost all three matches in the 50-over format.

Yuzvendra Chahal plays alongside India skipper Virat Kohli for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Apart from international cricket, coronavirus has also impacted the start of the 13th edition of the IPL. Due to the ongoing crisis, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended the start of the cash-rich league to April 15 from its original scheduled date of March 30.

Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus positive patients in India went past 700 with 17 people losing their lives on Thursday, as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The entire world is slowly moving towards a lockdown due to the scare of the ever-escalating situation concerning the World Health Organisation-recognized pandemic that is the Coronavirus. Everything- schools, colleges, airports, railway stations, gyms, sporting events, movies, offices- have been put under lockdown as the world continues to self-isolate in order to control the pandemic.
