The Indian cricket team is the currently locking horns with Australia in the series decider of the three-match ODI series at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The young Indian spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal grabbed two wickets in his two wickets in his first over of the game and reduced the hosts to 101/4 in the 24 overs.
Earlier, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli decided to bowl first after the winning the toss in the overcast conditions at the MCG. His decision was justified by Bhuvneshwar Kumar who dismissed both the Aussies openers under the first 9 overs. India made three changes to their squad for the Melbourne ODI as Mohammad Siraj, Ambati Rayudu and Kuldeep Yadav made way for, Vijay Shankar, Kedar Jadhav, and Chahal.
After the early blows, Shaun Marsh and Usman Khawaja were building a good partnership for the third wicket, but Chahal has other intentions as he bagged both of them in a single over with the help of MS Dhoni.

On the second ball of the 24th over, the leggie bowled a delivery wide down leg as Marsh skipped early only to miss the ball by a long way trying while attempting to whip it behind square. Dhoni was quick to get down the leg side, grabbed the and despite being in an uncomfortable position, he whipped bails n time. Marsh was just short of getting back. He scored 39 off 54 balls.
After Marsh’s dismissal, Chahal got a soft dismissal in form of Khawaja. He bowled short length leg break down leg and Khawaja was at his back foot while trying to work it behind square, closed the face of his bat too early as the ball got the thick leading edge that just lobs back to the bowler. Khawaja just watches it painfully as it slowly lands in Chahal’s waiting hands.
