Charu Sharma Had Made a Huge Blunder In the IPL 2022 Mega-auction

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Mega-auction took place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. During the auction, an unexpected incident took place which left everyone by surprise. IPL auctioneer Hugh collapsed on dias and the auction was paused for more than an hour.  Meanwhile, Charu Sharma had replaced Hugh Edmeades.

Luckily, the auctioneer was quickly attended by the medical team. However, the experienced sports presenter Charu Sharma did the job quite well and received positive responses from fans from all over the world. It wasn’t that easy to sell as many as 200 players and that too in two days but Charu Sharma made it look so.

On Day 2 of the finishing stage of the auction, Charu Sharma had invited Hugh Edmeades back on stage for the final session of the PL Auction. IPL cricket fraternity was pretty happy after the comeback of ugh Edmeades back in the auction as the two-day mega event came to an end on February 13. Meanwhile, there was one incident in the auction featuring Charu Sharma that took everyone by surprise.

The former Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Khaleel Ahmed went under the hammer on Day 2 of the mega auction. Meanwhile, the five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians had started bidding for the pacer alongside, Delhi Capitals, however, when the bid reached the ₹4.60 crore mark, MI proceeded with ₹4.80 Crores. Meanwhile, DC was in no mood to pull out as they increased the bid.

DC raised their bid to ₹5 crore figure. MI went a step further and bid the pacer for ₹5.25 crores. Meanwhile, DC co-owner Kiran Kumar increased the bid by ₹5.50 crores and then backed out in an instant.

Meanwhile, IPL auctioneer Charu Sharma was left confused and ended up making a mistake. He stated that Delhi Capitals have bid ₹5.25 crores for the fast bowler despite MI already having bid 5.25 Crores for the former SRH pacer. The IPL auctioneer said that DC has the maximum bid at 5.25 crore. Meanwhile, MI pulled out of the bidding war as they had robbed of the pacer despite bidding 5.25 crore. Delhi Capitals secured the services of the fast bowler for 5.25 Crores despite bidding only 5 crores.
