Rajasthan Royals’ 23-year-old fast bowler, Chetan Sakariya is going through a purple patch in his career. After picking up three wickets on his IPL debut against Punjab Kings, the Bhavnagar-born pacer is oozing confidence and that was visible in his team’s against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Monday.

Sakariya got the prized wicket of Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina in the 13th over of CSK’s innings before getting a wicket he will never ever forget in his life.

On the second ball of the 18th over, Chetan Sakariya executed his off-cutter well, and legendary CSK skipper, MS Dhoni failed to read and connect properly and ended up giving a catch to Jos Buttler at extra cover. The Saurashtra pacer was pretty happy with it and jumped ecstatically to celebrate the glorious moment of dismissing India’s most iconic captain.

But that was not it. Sakariya also managed to get a photo with the 39-year-old wicket-keeper batsman after the completion of the match in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The youngster’s smile in the picture clearly suggests his happiness and to know to leave doubts, he has also penned down a beautiful message for Dhoni.

Captioning the picture on Instagram, Chetan Skariya wrote: “I admire you since i was a child and today i got the opportunity to play with you, it was the best moment of my life and i will cherish it forever. There won’t be anyone like you ever.. thanks a lot for inspiring all of us throughout the career.”

Chetan Sakariya fought against all the odds and is now reaping the dividends of his hard work. Rajasthan Royals had bought his services of ₹1.2 crores in the IPL 2021 mini-auction held in Chennai in February. With 6 wickets in 3 matches, he is currently the joint third-highest wicket-taker in the season.
