Cheteshwar Pujara Leaves His Fans Awestruck With His Lifted Shots

Much like Football, in a recent turn of events, it seems that cricket is also getting back on its feet as the halt due the coronavirus pandemic seems to be coming to an end. While there is still no clarity as to when the Indian cricketers will be coming back to action, but they are definitely preparing for all the possibilities. A day after the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli posted a video of practicing his favorite power snatch, the Indian Test specialist, Cheteshwar Pujara also shared a video of him getting back in the groove.

In a week’s time, international cricket is expected to make a comeback on next Wednesday’s opening day of a three-match series between England and the West Indies. India’s Test batting mainstay was seen working hard in the nets, and middling the ball to perfection. 

Captioning the video on Instagram, Pujara wrote: “Getting back into the groove! #saturdaysession #musictomyears”.

Soon after Pujara posted the video, his fans started expressing their happiness of watching him, but some of the fans also were pleasantly surprised to see Cheteshwar Pujara playing some lofted shots.

One of his fans on Instagram wrote: “You are hitting in the air? I think I have to wash my eyes”. Another one commented, “You are playing shots”. One of his fans even asked Pujara to play the T10 league, on the other hand, one of the users asked Kohli to pick the Test specialist into the T20I squad.

With uncertainty surrounding the future of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia, and it’s also extending the comeback of the Indian cricketers. Last month, BCCI terminated the series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that they don’t want to rush into the decision of resuming training camps for India’s players. However, Team India is scheduled to tour to Australia to play three ODIs, four Tests and three T20Is starting in October in what is set to be a highlight of the year.
