On the birthday occasion of the first Prime Minister of independent India, Jawaharlal Nehru, who was born on 14 November 1889, India celebrates the ‘Children’s Day’ – a special day recognised to celebrate children.
While different countries have different dates to celebrate the ‘Children’s Day’, India celebrates it on Nehru’s birthday after his death on 27 May 1964. Notably, before his death, India celebrated the ‘Children’s Day’ on November 20 since 1959 (the date observed as Universal Children’s Day by the United Nations).
On this special occasion, Indian cricketers took the social media platforms to encourage India’s futures.
