“As a team we have been talking over the last couple of days about how this coronavirus pandemic has taken over specific parts, if not all of India. As a team we just want to say, there are heroes out there the frontline workers have been incredible. For them to be doing, day in and day out for 24 hours a day is just incredible,” Morris said after registering a 6-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday, Match 18.

“As a team we are feeling the hurt for everyone around the world. It’s quite difficult to comprehend what’s happening. It is a responsibility for us to play with smiles on our faces because we have got a reason to smile. We get to play the sport that we love and we get to keep people happy on the other side of the screen. Whether we are winning or losing its still an opportunity to keep people happy and smiling and watching cricket. If that brings people joy, even if it’s a little bit of joy, then we are doing well as a sport. At Rajasthan we will be supporting COVID workers and all those affected,” Morris said.

Notably, Morris’s four-wicket haul restricted KKR to 133 for 9 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and they chased down the total with ease as well. With this win, RR moved up 2 places and placed at the 6th spot on the points table whereas KKR moved down to the last position as well.
