The allegations of conflict of interest have been leveled against the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, and the BCCI ethics officer DK Jain will be investigating the accusations. The allegations have been imposed by Sanjeev Gupta as he accused that Kohli is both the captain of the Indian cricket team and also serving as the director of a famous talent management company.
The above-mentioned company also manages other Indian players like KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Rishabh Pant. Sanjeev Gupta, who is the MPCA member filed the complaint which was directed towards BCCI ethics officer-cum-ombudsman Justice (retd) DK Jain, as well as some other BCCI officials like President Sourav Ganguly and CEO Rahul Johri.

In his complaint, Gupta went on to claim that Kohli is expected to be violating the BCCI constitution which doesn’t allow him to hold multiple positions. Gupta said that Virat is also one of the directors of Cornerstone Venture Partners LLP and Virat Kohli Sports LLP with his co-directors — Amit Arun Sajdeh and Binoy Bharat Khimji being other partners.

According to Sanjeev Gupta, Virat downs;t have any role in the talent management company of Cornerstone Sport and Entertainment Private Limite which manages several other Indian cricketers such as KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant amongst others.

Sanjeev Gupta has also filed complaints against several Indian cricketers like Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rahul Dravid in the past. However, in all those complaints, none of the cricketers were found guilty of accusations.
DK Jain has said that examine the complaint and see if they have some merit or not. He concluded by saying the if teh accusations are strong enough to make a case, he will offer an opportunity to the Indian skipper to respond.
