The tournament window for the 2021 Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has been confirmed and the 8th edition of the league will be commencing on 28 August and will run until 19 September. This year the tournament will take place in St Kitts & Nevis with all 33 matches being played at Warner Park. The tournament was a successful one in 2020 and it must’ve tempted the organized it this year as well.
In 2020 the tournament had a combined viewership of 523 million, an increase of 67% on 2019, with record value delivered to sponsors and commercial partners.

Talking about CPL 2021, Pete Russell, Hero CPL’s COO, said: “It is really exciting to have the tournament window for 2021 confirmed and I would like to thank St Kitts & Nevis government for agreeing to host this year’s event. We would also like to extend our thanks to Cricket West Indies for helping us create this window in a busy summer of cricket for them. We are looking forward to once again successfully staging the Hero CPL in 2021.”

First started in 2013, the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is a franchise-based T20 format cricket tournament that combines two of the most compelling aspects of Caribbean life – dramatic cricket and a vibrant Carnival atmosphere. In the last edition of the T20 extravaganza, there was a combined broadcast and digital viewership of over 500 million, and that made it one of the most-watched leagues in world cricket.

Trinbago Knight Riders are the defending champions of teh Hero CPL and the other competing teams are Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots, St. Lucia Zouks, and Jamaica Tallawahs. The 2021 tournament will take place in St Kitts & Nevis from 28 August to 19 September.
