38-year-old former Karnataka pacer Narvanda Chetticha Aiyappa aka NC Aiyappa has got engaged to Kannada actress Anu Poovamma. According to the sources, they are likely to marry in the next year.

Recently, the Karnataka cricketer NC Aiyappa got engaged to Kannada actress Anu Poovamma. Their engagement ceremony was placed at Kodava Samaja in Vasantha Pura (Bengaluru) where only their family members and close friends were invited.

Their marriage date has not been decided yet, but according to the sources, they are likely to tie the knot in the next year.

Anu Poovamma acted in movies like Kathachitra, Karvva, Life Super and Pani Puri. Currently, she is busy in a television daily soap Muddu Lakshmi where she is playing a negative character.

Meanwhile, Narvanda made his first-class debut in December 2001 for Karnataka against Tamil Nadu. The right-arm medium bowler and the right-handed lower-order batsman played total 32 first-class matches, 26 List A games and 4 T20 matches. He took total 152 wickets in the professional cricket (116 wickets in first-class, 32 wickets in List A and 4 wickets in T20 cricket).

Aiyappa claimed seven times four-wicket haul and thrice five-wicket haul in his first-class career while his best bowling figure in a first-class innings was 5/63.

In the 2011 Karnataka Premier League (KPL), the veteran bowler had claimed a hat-trick.

Aiyappa also had featured in the Big Boss Kannada season 3 that was hosted by Kannada film industry star Sudeep. Narvanda was evicted on day 91 who also served as house captain for two consecutive weeks.

Aiyappa is also the younger brother of actress Prema. Apart from the Kannada movies, Prema has also acted in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam movies.
