Cricketers Extend Greetings On The Occasion Of Eid

People in India are celebrating the festival of Eid ul Fitr today that marks the conclusion of the month-long fasting from dawn to sunset because of Ramadan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrations are not taking place the way they used to be but the wishes came from celebrities from various fields, including cricketers as well.

To start with, it was former India player and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar. “Wishing everyone good health, happiness and prosperity on the auspicious occasion of Eid,” the batting maestro wrote on Twitter.

Sharing his greeting, former India cricketer and one of the key players of Chennai Super Kings, Suresh Raina wrote, “On this auspicious day, wishing peace and prosperity for everyone! May this festival bring good health and positivity all around. Stay safe and enjoy the day with your loved ones.”

Veteran Indian pacer Mohammed Shami wished everyone, Eid Mubarak, with a happy picture as well. “May Allah accept your good deeds, forgive your transgressions and ease the suffering of all people around the globe. Eid Mubarak to you and your family! May you be blessed with kindness, patience and love. Eid Mubarak”

While everyone has shared the wish, how come India captain Virat Kohli be different? He also extended his wishes and wrote on Twitter: “In these unprecedented times, let the spirit of Eid bring love, peace and joy to all. Eid Mubarak. Stay safe.”

India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant also wished everyone and urged fans to stay home. “Best wishes to those celebrating Eid today! Please stay indoors and enjoy time with your families. Eid Mubarak everyone.”

India’s swashbuckling opener Shikhar Dhawan wrote, “Eid Mubarak to all those who are celebrating. Love, light and happiness to you. Please stay safe everyone.”

As far as the COVID-19 pandemic is concerned in India, more than 4 lakh people are affecting on a daily basis whereas over 4000 people are dying too. And, the situation gets worse with the insufficient materials as well. Moreover, due to that, the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League got postponed too.
