On Monday, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has finally confirmed the updated schedule for the India men’s tour to the rainbow nation. As announced over the weekend, the tour has been reduced from three series to two; the Test and One-Day International (ODI) series, scheduled to be commencing on 26 December with the last ODI will be played on 23 January 2022 across four venues.
CSA has been able to finalize the new schedule following healthy cnvengagement with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The four-match T20 international (T20I) series which was in the original schedule, has now been rescheduled for a more opportune time in the new year.

The Test series will form part of the new cycle of the ICC World Test Championship, while the ODI series will form part of the ICC Men’s World Cup Super League, the qualification tournament for the 2023 ICC Men’s World Cup.
The updated schedule will go as follows:
- 26-30 December 21 | 1st WTC Test vs India | SuperSport Park, Centurion
- 03-07 January 22 | 2nd WTC Test vs India | Imperial Wanderers, Johannesburg
- 11-15 January 22 | 3rd WTC Test vs India | Six Gun Grill Newlands, Cape Town
*The first two Test matches will commence at 13:20 IST and the third will begin at 14:00 IST.
- 19 January 22 | 1st ODI vs India | Eurolux Boland Park, Paarl
- 21 January 22 | 2nd ODI vs India | Eurolux Boland Park, Paarl
- 23 January 22 | 3rd ODI vs India | Six Gun Grill Newlands, Cape Town
*All ODI matches will start at 14:00 IST.
