One of the most famous rivalries in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is none other than between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI). Both the teams have won the IPL title thrice and their records always speak for themselves. On Wednesday, both the teams were playing their 25th games with each other where Mumbai beat the defending champion with ease at the Wankhede Stadium. Though they have a poor start with the bat, they bounced back brilliantly and handed over the first defeat of the season to Chennai Super Kings.
Put into bat, Mumbai were struggling at 50 for 3. However, quick cameos from Hardik Pandya (25* off 8) and Kieron Pollard (17* off 7) in the death overs and stable knocks from Suryakumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya powered Mumbai to 170 for 5.

While chasing, Chennai Super Kings managed 133 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs as they lost both their openers Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu very cheaply for just 6 runs. Apart from Kedar Jadhav, who scored a half-century, none of the other batsmen was able to build a stable partnership. Hardik Pandya and Malinga picked up 3 wickets each and restricted them within 133; claiming another win. Chennai lost their first IPL match of the season.
