CSK Celebrates International Tea Day With Dhoni, Raina, And Bravo

On Saturday, the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on the occasion of International Tea Day took to Twitter to share a picture in which their skipper, MS Dhoni, his deputy Suresh Raina and West Indies’ star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo can be seen having a fun time with a tea.

In the picture, former India captain Dhoni can be seen with a cup of tea in his hand while Suresh Raina is having a laugh. Captioning the picture on Twitter, CSK wrote: “This Tea mmmmm #InternationalTeaDay #Whistlepodu #Yellove.” Soon after the image was posted, fans flooded Twitter with heartwarming messages for the CSK trio.

CSK was standing at second place on the  Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 points table when the T20 tournament was postponed indefinitely by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and IPL Governing Council on May 4.

The decision was taken by the BCCI after several players and members of support staff tested positive for coronavirus inside the IPL bio-secure bubble.

The three-time IPL champions CSK saw their bowling coach Lakshmipathy Balaji and batting coach former Australia batsman Michael Hussey getting affected with the virus as the second wave of Covid-19 ravaged the country. After being closely monitored by the CSK and BCCI medical staff, both Balaji and Hussey attained complete recovery from the virus.

The BCCI is yet to announce where the remaining matches of the 14th edition of the IPL will be played but Sourav Ganguly, BCCI President, also clarified that India will not host the rest of the T20 league due to “organisational hazards.”
