In an unfortunate twist, a dedicated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) supporter encountered disappointment during the IPL 2024 showdown against SRH at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Junaid Ahmed, a fervent fan, found himself in a perplexing situation after shelling out a hefty sum of INR 4500 for his ticket.
Venting his frustration on social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Ahmed shared his dismay at being allocated seat number J66, only to discover upon arrival that there was no such seat in the ‘J’ section. Armed with video evidence and snapshots of his predicament alongside the expensive ticket, Ahmed called for either a refund or some form of compensation for the inconvenience he faced.

Meanwhile, on the cricketing front, Sunrisers Hyderabad bounced back with a resounding six-wicket victory over the reigning champions, CSK. Abhishek Sharma’s explosive innings, hammering 37 runs off just 12 balls, coupled with Aiden Markram’s half-century (50 off 36) and Travis Head’s crucial 31 off 24 balls, guided the team to successfully chase down the 166-run target.
Under the leadership of Pat Cummins, SRH effectively contained CSK’s run rate during the initial eight overs after winning the toss and electing to bowl first.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck early for SRH, removing Rachin Ravindra, followed by captain Ruturaj Gaikwad’s dismissal by Shahbaz Ahmed in the eighth over. Despite a strong surge from Shivam Dube, who scored a quickfire 45 off just 24 balls, CSK’s momentum was curtailed with Cummins’ timely breakthrough, limiting them to a total of 165/5.
