Amid of the media and fans doubting the current equation between head Indian coach Anil Kumble and skipper Virat Kohli, the duo was seen in action together at Team India’s indoor net session in Birmingham. The coach was seen giving throwdowns to Kohli and all looked well notwithstanding some reports of both not being on talking terms.
Kumble’s future as coach of the Indian team remains under the scanner as he is among the 6 shortlisted contestants who will be interviewed by Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman once the squad returns to India after the Champions Trophy. Under Kumble’s mentorship India team is yet to lose a series of any format of the game.
Thus the question of the head coach having to go through another interview is in itself a secret which has resulted in the rumors of Kohli not being on his side.
