In recent time, Indian batsmen have been most of the times a reason for team’s victories. Before every tournament, the opposition starts making plans against Indian Team’s strong batting unit. But, this time, in ICC Champions Trophy 2017, fans and media are also talking about India’s ferocious bowling unit.

India’s bowling attack has shown a tremendous improvement from past year or so. As a result of the hard-work put in, they are one of the most lethal bowling units in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Earlier, Pakistan has been known for having a stronger bowling side than India, but the same can’t be said for the forthcoming clash between India and Pakistan.

Pakistan has a good bowling unit but if we compare performances in the last few months, Indian bowlers are way above them. Bowlers like Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and others are all in very good form. In fact, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League (IPL), was the leading wicket taker of IPL 2017.

India will play their first match of the tournament against Pakistan will be a bit different because this time, Pakistan will be equally cautious of India’s bowling unit. There is no withholding the fact that batting is still India’s strongest point but there isn’t much of a difference if you compare it to their bowling department. India has a good mixture of quality spinners, pacers, and all-rounders, along with some very useful part-timers like Kedar Jadhav and Yuvraj Singh.

However, media is focusing on the rivalry between Junaid Khan vs Virat Kohli, Wahab Riaz vs Yuvraj Singh but we are also looking forward to Bhuvneshwar Kumar vs Mohammad Hafeez and Jasprit Bumrah vs Babar Azam.
